Moving to El Paso was very difficult for Diana, she moved to El Paso when she was in the second grade. Coming from Mexico and knowing very little English was going to be a daunting challenge. The language barrier was just one of the many obstacles Diana would face and eventually overcome. Diana learned in a year what most students learn in four years. Having gone to the Academy of International Business and Public Affairs, she would take Pre-AP and AP classes, and rather than take fun electives she took classes like Accounting, Business Law and International Trade. Getting and education is no walk in the park, but Diana has showed that no matter what kind of hardships you might encounter, dedication and motivation will overcome anything. Awards and Honors include: Honor Roll Soccer Track and Cross Country Big Brothers and Big Sisters
