The 6th Edition of the Run Internacional – U.S. México 10K kicks off March 2, 2024!

The El Paso Community Foundation presents the 6th Edition of the Run Internacional on Saturday, March 2, 2024. The Run Internacional - The U.S. - México 10K is more than a race. The only U.S.- México cross border 10K draws runners from all over North America on a course that winds through the shared downtowns of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez and historical landmarks.

Join us on Saturday, March 2, 2024 as the race begins at 8:00 am, departing from 333 N Oregon, next to San Jacinto Plaza. This year’s sold-out event expects 2,000 runners to participate.

Participants will run by Southwest University Park (home of the El Paso Chihuahuas baseball team and Locomotives soccer team), the historical San Jacinto Plaza, pass by many of the city’s beloved murals, the Consulate General of Mexico then runs through Segundo Barrio, and crosses over the international boundary line on Stanton Street bridge into Ciudad Juarez.

In Juarez, the route passes Juárez’s city hall; the Bullring-Plaza de Toros Alberto Balderas; the Old Customs House, where the first U.S.-Mexico presidential meeting took place between William H. Taft and Porfirio Díaz in 1909 (it now houses MUREF, the Mexican Revolution Museum); the Misión de Guadalupe (where Ciudad Juárez was founded in 1659); and the Juarez Cathedral and the world-famous Kentucky Club.

“More than a race, this is a magnificent opportunity to showcase the beauty of our border region of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, and demonstrate the unity amongst our people,” said Mario Porras, Director of Binational Affairs, El Paso Community Foundation. “This is a celebration of our tri-state community, our people and our culture, but more importantly is a time to RUN AS ONE.”

The post-celebration event will take place for an Award Ceremony at Oregon Street (near San Jacinto Plaza) at 10:00 am. Prizes will be provided to the top three overall finishers and surprise prizes for random finishers.

About the Race:

Established in 2015 as a special project of the El Paso Community Foundation, as a celebration of our binational community. The International 10K showcases the unique greatness of the largest borderland in the world. It illustrates how one community, united by an international boundary line, blends itself into one region. This race is possible through the support of many public and private stakeholders from both sides of the border. The El Paso Community Foundation is grateful for the support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Agencia Nacional de Aduanas de México, City of Juárez, the Fidecomiso de Puentes Fronterizos de Chihuahua, and the Maratón de Juárez.
